Kevin's aim is to give you that experience in catching a fish and learning to cast in a proficient manner whilst enjoying yourself on a lovely peaceful river in the beautiful countryside of the Borders and Northumberland.

 

• Tuition is catered to your needs and ability from novice to experienced angler wanting to improve their skills on the river or stillwater .

• Balanced outfit - rod length - rod action - types of fly line - AFTM numbers .

• Knots - leaders - what fly to use in the right conditions .

• Casting : Roll cast - overhead - Hauling - Reach mends to wiggle cast's .

• All taught in a professional and safe environment.

 

I became a member of the game angling instructors association as a professional instructor in 2006 and have recently done a upgrade when the organisation changed their G.A.I.C test in 2011 modifiying the test .I passed my upgrade making me a current and up to date instructor in the North east  as well as being a regional contact for the association and a mentor for the G.A.I.C test.

 

I have worked in schools in my area . I believe in encouraging children into the sport as well as educating them about the wildlife in our Rivers. In 2012  I was recommended by the Northumberland National Parks for an award for my project Salmon in the classroom .I have also helped Charles Jardine's Fishing for schools among other projects .

Kevin has attended Scottish Game Fairs , English game fairs , giving tuition and advice to people attending  the shows on how to improve their fishing.

Families , individuals and people with disabilities are all welcome and can be catered for.
